For this television commercial for Visit Victoria, created to coincide with the Australian Open tennis tournament; the core concept was to cleverly utilize the organisation’s extensive media library to build a visual play on words, where each shot directly matched familiar tennis terminology heard throughout the tournament. To bring this idea to life, I relied heavily on my deep knowledge of the archive, allowing me to quickly source and select clips that could be recontextualized in humorous and unexpected ways. I began by mapping out the script and identifying key tennis phrases, then meticulously searched for visuals that could align with each term while still maintaining a strong narrative flow. The challenge was not only in finding relevant footage, but in choosing the most creative and entertaining options to fully sell the concept. Through precise editing and timing, I ensured the jokes landed and the pacing stayed engaging, resulting in a polished and cohesive final commercial.
