AMERICAN TOURSITER - ‘X-BAGS’

EDITOR/COLOUR/SOUND

This project for American Tourister, centered around a story of a man working from home who feels stuck in the monotony of daily life and seeks escape in the countryside. The concept leaned heavily on sound design to shape the tone and narrative, using audio as the primary tool to convey the shift from a dull, repetitive environment to the sense of freedom and adventure found on a hiking getaway. I began by structuring the edit to clearly contrast these two worlds, carefully selecting and sequencing visuals that supported the transformation. A key focus was crafting an immersive soundscape—layering ambient sounds, subtle transitions, and environmental audio cues to bring each setting to life without relying on music. This approach allowed the story to unfold in a more tactile and engaging way, drawing the viewer into the experience.
